40 Day Transformation

40 Day Transformation with Mike Houlihan & Dr. Risa Schulman

April 15-May 24, 2024 - Meets 6 Mondays, 7:15pm-9pm  Registration Closes Friday April 12 5pm

You want to make a change in your life. You want to feel better, to simplify, to experience a deeper sense of connection and peace. But where and how do you begin? Maybe you want to quit smoking, exercise more, and nourish yourself differently. Perhaps you want to carry around less anger, judgment, or resentment.  You’d like to be a better parent, partner, leader. You’re bombarded with well-intentioned advice from all directions. Whom do you trust? Who has the answers?

YOU!  All the wisdom you’ll ever need is inside you, but how do you access it?

In this six-week course, you’ll use the lens of Yoga to see yourself more clearly. Supported by a community of amazing people, you’ll explore what true yogis have known for millennia: that Yoga is not merely the holding of physical postures. Rather, the true essence of Yoga is self-inquiry through practice. Learning new meditation techniques and conducting dietary experiments, you’ll develop a more intimate connection to your body and a more compassionate relationship with your mind, becoming more aware of unconscious habits and patterns. Come learn how to create substantive change in your life and be transformed in the process!

The great Swami Kripalu said, "Yoga is the practice of tolerating the consequences of being oneself."

“Before I started the 40 Day Transformation, I felt anxious, sad, angry; there was "more" to life!  I felt like I was having an internal crisis.  I had not given much credence to "mid-life" crisis and thought it was untrue and now I was in one (age:49).  This program has given me new/renewed tools for my next life stage. A lifestyle of mindful eating, self-care, quieting the mind, focus, presence, self-acceptance, self-love."

"I am so glad I went through this program!  I had already been meditating every day, practicing asana [yoga postures] 5x/week, and eating a whole foods plant based diet (minimal processed food).  I wanted the group support to help me look at my relationship to alcohol.  I ended up getting so much more out of the program than I ever imagined.  I've reached a level of self-acceptance that I could only dream about previously"

"I joined this group on my very first night doing yoga - ever!  Jumped in head first as usual.  This program has facilitated the opening of my eyes to myself.  I have learned that it is ok not to be able to do all poses.  That I can take pressure off myself.  I have also take a better look at my relationship with food.  Looked at the "why's" and realizing I was eating for more reasons than just hunger.  I am much more grounded and accepting of myself."
