Laura McSweeney, B.A., L.M.T. was born and raised in a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio.  She has a great love of animals, especially turtles.  After a career in banking and graduating from Baldwin Wallace University, Laura followed her heart and enrolled at Ohio College of Massotherapy. Graduating in 2007, Laura opened her own in-home business, Harmony through Massage.  Additionally, she worked at Balance Solutions Physical Therapy, as a massage therapist, where she gained hands on experience working on people suffering from vertigo, sciatica, post-op knee and shoulder surgery and many other issues.  Laura volunteered in her community at Holy Family Home & Hospice.  For 5 years Laura provided limited massage and conversation for patients and encouraged family members to receive massage on her massage chair located in the solarium of the facility. Laura knew she had a gift when she saw stress melt away from family members with the touch of her hands. Working closely with the nursing staff, patients, when it was appropriate, received a massage, and enjoyed being pampered, even though many were in a terminal illness situation. In 2014, Laura and her husband Brian, sold their house, left their jobs and moved to New England to be closer to their kids and grandkids. Laura is very passionate about her work.  She has seen clients transform from being, uncomfortable, or in pain which doesn’t allow us to be our true self, to smiling, happy individuals who are now taking better care of themselves.
