Instructors

Beth Houlihan is the Co-Owner of Roots to Wings and teaches yoga to both children and adults. She is ChildLight Yoga certified, has completed the full 300hr YogaKids Teacher Certification Program and has taken both Calm Kids Level I & II Teaching Meditation to Children courses.  She has also completed the Childlight Yoga 4 Classrooms training and is certified in Deep Play For Kids.  Beth’s heart-centered approach to teaching combines a balance of breath, postures, active play, meditation and relaxation.  Through her fun, nurturing and creative teaching style, Beth empowers children to connect more deeply to themselves and one another. Beth received a B.A. in Psychology from UMass, Amherst and a Masters in Clinical Social Work from Boston College. Her husband, Mike, is co-Owner at Roots to Wings. Together they have four children.

Stacia Smith has been a professional educator in MA for over ten years. She has extensive training in child development, education, and special populations. Stacia has a Masters in Education and is also licensed as an Elementary Teacher (1-6) and Special Education Teacher (Pre K-Grade 8). In addition, she holds two Montessori certifications as a lead teacher for children ages 3-9. Most recently, Stacia has worked as a Montessori teacher in the greater Newburyport area. She is a 200hr trained yoga teacher and certified in ChildLight Yoga & Mindfulness for Children and Teens with Special Needs. She is also certified in Deep Play for Kids and Brain Gym 101. Stacia’s teaching style is child centered and she meets each child where they are at. She intuitively provides each child with the skills and tools they need to be their best selves. Stacia draws from her rich experience to create meaningful classes that are playful, healing, and relaxing.

Dr. Tammy Bottner's passion is helping people live their healthiest, happiest lives.  She truly believe that the mind and body are one, and that preventative medicine is the best medicine.  As a medical doctor (pediatrician and integrative physician) she has recommended yoga to her patients for years. She is thrilled to now be a certified yoga teacher. She loves leading people in this modality she is so passionate about.  "Yoga is the best way I know to bridge mind, body and spirit." - Dr. Tee
