Anatomy, Asana and Awe with Grace Jull

For Yoga Teachers and Seriously Curious Students

Two Day Program

Saturday April 6th, 8am-5:30pm

Sunday, April 7th, 8am-5:30pm

Join Grace Jull, the anatomy specialist for over a decade with the Kripalu Yoga Teacher Training and Massage School, as she guides you on an illuminating journey of (y)our inner world through anatomy, asana, and awe. Grace draws on her background training yoga teachers and massage therapists – as well as her own studies in osteopathy and embryology – to deliver a unique and inspired view of the body and yoga as a passionate encounter with Prana (breath or life force).

Through lecture, hands-on exercises, and a rich asana practice (yoga postures class), explore:
• key bones and muscles that influence our ease and expression, on and off the mat
• how the joints of the hip, spine, and shoulders can find optimal positioning in asanas
• how muscles work, and how they can hold memory and find freedom
• how fascia deeply influences our personal expressions of asana
• an introduction to the chakras, where mind & matter or gross & subtle anatomy meet.
Yoga students and teachers alike will benefit from this exploration, and will leave with a greater compassion, capacity, and curiosity in discovering our body’s full potential.

Note: For the last 1.5 hours of each afternoon presentation, join Grace for a yoga practice to explore in your body the weekend’s anatomy lessons.

This workshop is part of our 200-hour Pranotthan Yoga Teacher Training, and includes both students from the public and students in the teacher training.
