Healing Through Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is a type of yoga practice that aims to apply gentle to moderate pressure on targeted areas of the body. A balanced and harmonized practice of Yin is intended to be complimentary to active exercise and yang yoga. Yin gently works both dense and less dense connective tissues that bind, support and protect ligaments, bones, muscles and joints. The practice of longer held yin postures, with appropriate stress, also enhances meridian and organ systems. Benefits of Yin Yoga are physical, mental, and energetic.

  1. Foundation of Yin and it’s physical, spiritual, and energetic benefits
  2. Exploration of the Theory of Chinese Medicine (TCM), learning about meridians and organ function
  3. Mindfulness meditation and philosophy
